Start Main ContentAnnouncing Florida Outreach Project Parent Partners!

We realize it is hard to feel connected to us when we are located far away from many places in the state. For this reason, we have found 8 parents to serve as outreach partners for the Project. These 8 parents live in different places and would be happy to speak to or meet with any parents in their area who would like to know more about services for deaf-blind children and youth in our state.

Parent Partners in Florida

The Partners are located in these counties:
Bay, Brevard, Citrus, Dade, Hillsborough, St. Lucie, Sarasota, and Volusia

There are 2 Partners who speak Spanish, 3 with young children, 2 with middle school age, and 2 with young adults. Also among the group are 2 families with children/youth with Charge Syndrome and several whose children/youth have additional disabilities besides their vision and hearing problems. Collectively these families have a lot of experience in various aspects of raising a child with deaf-blindness.

Contact Information

If you would like contact information for the Parent Partner in your area, please call or send me an email message and I’ll will either give you the contact information or ask them to call you. The Project pays for the calls so don’t hesitate to ask for the information. Best wishes to you and your families.
