The Florida and Virgin Islands (FAVI) DeafBlind Collaborative can provide technical assistance, which includes consultation and training, on a wide variety of topics. (See “Understanding FAVI Services” to learn about types of technical assistance.)

- functional implications of vision loss, hearing loss, and deafblindness;

- designing and providing effective special education supports and services;
- providing access to general education curricula and environments;
- providing Blind/Visually Impaired (BVI) and Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) expanded core curricula;

- discovery and customized employment
- intervener role and competencies
- and many other topics.
Free training is available to families, educators, educational teams, schools / districts,
and other professionals or organizations serving children and young adults with deafblindness.
